About Me

I’m, Tonje, a journalist from Northern Norway now based in London. With a passion for storytelling and analysis, I work with Norwegian and international broadcasters to explore and explain the complexities of politics, communication, media and society.

My main contributions are to TV2, Norway’s largest commercial TV station, and P4 Radio, where I provide live analysis, commentary, and reports on current affairs, politics and social issues. Over the years, I’ve also collaborated with the BBC and other international media outlets, offering insights and perspectives on global events through a Nordic lens.

In addition to my journalism, I’ve had the opportunity to speak at conferences, seminars and Q&A sessions, sharing insights on media trends, journalism, and cross-cultural communication. I enjoy sparking thought-provoking discussions and helping bridge the gap between media and audiences.

Before moving to London, I spent six years managing the Northern Norway office for P4 in Tromsø, the largest city north of the Arctic Circle. During this time, I developed and produced popular radio formats that blended entertainment, humor and news. These experiences shaped my ability to connect with audiences and deliver engaging, thoughtful content.

I hold a Master’s degree in Political Journalism from City University London and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Gimlekollen School of Journalism and Communication in Kristiansand. This academic foundation combined with my international experience, allows me to bring depth and clarity to complex topics.
